Originally from the midwest, Alex now lives in Brooklyn. Her career has led her from broadway to boardrooms to government bureaucracy; these days, she’s very happy to be spending more of her time writing. Her fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in The Mississippi Review, The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, Fractured Lit, Stonecrop Magazine, and elsewhere.
She holds an MFA from Brooklyn College, where she was Managing Editor of The Brooklyn Review. She has been awarded a Capote Fellowship, a Tow International Research Grant, and the Himan Brown Award for Fiction.
